PRS or Prefect?

I have been both a member of PRS & prefect. But, when you are chosen as a prefect, you'll have to choose.

Well, it depends on your personality.

Are you willing to give up & sacifice your time for prefect duties & meetings? Coz you'll have to skip some Japanese/Taekwondo, etc. classes if it clashes with prefect activities.

Prioritise prefect first!

If you're a responsible, courageous, stern, discipline, hardworking person, I'd say, go for prefect!

Unlike PRS where you volunteer to become a member, prefects are specially hand-picked by teachers which means you're special and the

crème de la crème.

But, be warned, prefects come with great responsibilities!

Prefects have to plan, organise events & set up the hall before event & clean it after every Monday & event.

Be brave & reprimand others if they're not following the school rules.

Help teachers a lot.

If you're a socialite & like to make new friends, meet guys ahem ahem... join PRS. You'll learn games, help the prefects a little during events like Teacher's Day*they don't set-up/clean the hall :(, gather with other schools' PRS, organise Form 1 orientation, go PRS camps which isn't much of an inclination when compared to prefect camp.

The discipline teacher will do whatever it takes to make you go to prefect camp. There's no way of escaping unless you have a strong, solid valid reason.

PRS camps are more relaxed compared to prefect camps with fun & games coz their purpose is to foster a closer bond among members. The prefect camp is mostly to nurture leadership skills, so it's more strict.

Only prefects in the school wear uniforms. The blazers are quite expensive. RM100-200++. Only have to wear it on Mondays or school events.
Have to wear nametags & PBSA logo badge everyday, or else, demerit 2!

The PRS only have to wear nametags but it's not a neccesity.

Prefects have to come early to school. Before 7 am. Coz they have morning duties.

PRSes have come to school b4 7:20am like normal students.

PRSes only stayback on Fridays.
Prefects have to stayback every Friday & any other day required if they have extra meeting for prefect party, installation, etc.

In a nutshell, they both have their perks & cons.
