Mon: Class till 2:30pm
Tues-Fri : Class till 2pm
*Wed: Class till 1:45pm.
Co-curriculum starts at 2:20pm till 5pm. It's a MUST to go since there'll be prefects guarding the school gates on Wednesdays. Noone is allowed to go home on Wednesdays unless they have a valid reason.
Well, it's better than other schools. The students there have to stayback
Others: Stayback for prefect duties/meetings, sports house meetings on Mon/ Tues at the beginning of the year till Sports Day or Japanese/Mandarin/Tamil/Arab/Accounts/Tasawwur classes.
How did I survive with no boys?
No worries. There are a lot of events where you'll get to meet boys like:
1 Join competitions
2 Interact Club's Charity Events
3 Proms
4 Other School Visits
5 School Plays
6 Hari Keusahawanan
7 Occasional cute-handsome student-teachers, etc.
8 Join Eco Rangers Club
9 Join camps
10 Join school conferences like SAEYLS, YEBS, etc.
11 Join the Orchestra Club/ Choir Club
Pros
1 You'll be well respected & looked up to by your peers. They'll think you're smart.
2 No boys. No distractions.
3 You don't have to be embarassed when you have your period.
4 You can change in class. *But, now, SA has the purple/maroon 4 prefects* shirt that you can wear from home as it's considered as your official school uniform but this can only be worn on days you have PJK. Other school t-shirts like your sports house shirt, white school t-shirt, you'll have to come in normal school uniform then change at school.
5 A chance to participate in a lot of activities & competitions ranging from district level to international level like YEBS, SIR, ICAS, SAEYLS, Japan Trip, represent school in international conferences or school visits.
Tip: You have to be in the top class, shine or have money to go.
Cons
1 Strict school rules like wearing school socks & tie everyday, no rolling up sleeves, no chicken bunning your hair, YOU HAVE TO WEAR ONLY SCHOOL TRACK PANTS,etc.
2 You CANNOT SKIP extra co-curriculum activities on Wednesdays.
Eventhough it's near exams, you still have to go! They usually stop it a week before exams. For PT3/SPM, a month b4 exams.
For prefects, you'll be exempted from your duties a month before PT3. SPM- After Prefect Installation which is usually at the middle of the year.
*I too find this riduculous & absurd since it's unfair when students from other schools have stopped a long time ago. Well, you know what they say... When in Rome, do what the Romans do.
